I have referred many of my patients to California Caregivers for in-home caregiving support, and the feedback has consistently been excellent. Families often share how responsive, compassionate, and dependable the caregivers are, which gives me confidence every time I make a referral.

Having 3 parents with different forms and levels of memory loss, their assistance and expertise has been invaluable. They have supported us with many transitions through this process with kindness, respect and safety. And their knowledge and experience has guided us through some difficult challenges.

California CareGivers has been taking care of my Mom since the beginning of the year, and we really like them. They are very easy to communicate with and so far, have always been instantly accessible to us. Since they have been assisting us at home, both her personality and her physical health in general have improved immensely.

Alzheimer's and Dementia Care in Sacramento: What Families Need to Know
A diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or dementia often sends families into turmoil. There are so many unknowns, and the symptoms of the disease can strain familial relationships. Many family members think that simple memory loss is a strong sign of debilitating cognitive decline. It is normal, however, for seniors to forget where common household items have been placed. Early Alzheimer’s and dementia sufferers, on the other hand, undergo confusion and often have trouble performing everyday tasks. Additional difficulty with simple math and cognitive reasoning are also signs that a patient could be having more than just a “senior moment.”
Dementia is a blanket term for symptoms that include impaired thinking and memory loss. It can be caused by issues other than Alzheimer’s, including Huntington’s disease, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, and Parkinson’s disease. Alzheimer’s is a specific form of dementia that commonly includes diminished speech alongside confusion and impaired thought processes. A dementia finding is a diagnosis of symptoms only. An Alzheimer’s identification gives more insight into the cause.
We are grateful to have a trusted partner in California Caregivers and will continue to recommend them to patients who need a little extra help at home.
